André Luiz Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luiz Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Itoupava AD got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Teixeira. Ernesto Borges hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Itoupava AD's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio de Sena came free, but Cesinha Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Capinzal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Aníbal Nunes made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ernesto Borges sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Capinzal getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Chicão Tande hit a great ball. Ernesto Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Aníbal Nunes made a huge save. Mathias Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathias Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mathias Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If André Luiz Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Borges in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Alexandre Quadros's late challenge caught a Capinzal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itoupava AD's Alexandre Quadros got a free kick in the 69th minute. With his leg Cesinha Damião managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Capinzal's Iuri Teles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Itoupava AD's Cesinha Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Teles in the 77th minute of play. Cesinha Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 85 minutes into the game, André Luiz Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0.
