Apiuna SS's Nildo Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Apiuna SS from getting a goal against them. When Rafael de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Codoz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael de Souza couldn't finish the play. After 26 played minutes Apiuna SS got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Azevedo. After having played for 28 minutes, Hílton Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nildo Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Rafael de Souza sent off a good shot on target. Guto Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Azevedo having to interfere. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
