Apiuna SS's Nildo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Fantini in the 5th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir Fantini in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Tinoco saved Apiuna SS from getting behind. Guto Cavalcante's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Olavo Nogueira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Waldir Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Tinoco having to interfere. Nildo Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani de Barros in the 36th minute of the match. If Waldir Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernani de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Nildo Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Waldir Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Tinoco. Apiuna SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Leite was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Leite in the 52nd minute of play forced Agostinho's goalkeeper Olavo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Apiuna SS's Aleandro Moura to fire away a dangerous shot which Olavo Nogueira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Hernani de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agostinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guto Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. But to his dismay, Lucas Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Olavo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Lucas Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olavo Nogueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Olavo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
