A very good chance. The long shot by Doni Lima in the 7th minute really tested Almir Pitta's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Mondai's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Guedes came free, but Osvaldo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Guedes in the 13th minute of play forced Mondai's goalkeeper Osvaldo Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almir Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber de Almeida in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mondai's zone, Váldson Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Matos came out of the goal and Váldson Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Didi Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mondai's Osvaldo Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Barreto in the 28th minute of play. Conrado de Castro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Barreto in the 30th minute of play. Cléber de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Almir Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Cléber de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Almir Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After having played for 51 minutes, Váldson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaquari SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Mondai's Osvaldo Matos got control of the ball when Frederico Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cléber de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Váldson Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Váldson Campidelis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Frederico Barretos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Osvaldo Matos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Lopez in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cléber de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Mondai's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Guedes came free, but Osvaldo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes, Frederico Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaquari SS and the Mondai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Frederico Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
