Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Capunga's Danilo Pirani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Secco struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Gabriel do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sucesso FC. 5 minutes into the match, Capunga's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Cabral came free, but Gabriel do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Capunga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sucesso FC:s goal. Gabriel do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Cabral in the 13th minute of the match. Capunga's Gabriel do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Cabral in the 15th minute of play. Elias Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A long shot from Rafael Carneiro in the 19th minute of play was well struck, but Vivaldo Pinho made a really good save at the right post. After 20 minutes, Horácio Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sucesso FC and the Capunga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Sucesso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Arce to maneuver through the defense. In the 29thth minute of the game Danilo Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sucesso FC's Vivaldo Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Luisinho Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sucesso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capunga the free kick. A collision led to Sucesso FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luisinho Rocha hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Cabral in the 48th minute of play forced Capunga's goalkeeper Gabriel do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Capunga's Franklin Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leonardo Travassos fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capunga's protests and gave Leonardo Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sucesso FC booed when Capunga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Ricardinho Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel do Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Juvenal Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sucesso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonardo Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vivaldo Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Pirani in the 82nd minute of play forced Sucesso FC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sucesso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Capunga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sucesso FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
