Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dinei Vergílio made the kick off which started today's match. If Dinei Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelinho Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Ortiz in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Curupira's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Vergílio came free, but Ezequiel Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléberson Correia hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Loureiro came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Dendezeiros's Dinei Vergílio. But to his dismay, Dinei Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gildo Miranda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Marcelinho Ramalho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Dendezeiros getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marcelinho da Fonseca hit a great ball. Ediberto Mangueira, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fausto Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, José Cearense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curupira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dendezeiros the free kick. Régis Marinho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Umberto Ortiz made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gildo Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupira's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Dendezeiros's Claudinei Leite got a free kick in the 60th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ediberto Mangueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelinho Ramalho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 64 minutes into the match, Curupira's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Marinho came free, but Ezequiel Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto Ortiz in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho Ramalho saved Dendezeiros from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Miranda in the 81st minute of play forced Dendezeiros's goalkeeper Marcelinho Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Ramalho came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Curupira's Umberto Ortiz. But to his dismay, Umberto Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 95 minutes, Dinei Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dendezeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Dendezeiros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dendezeiros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
