After 6th play minutes Flavinho Miranda shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ezequiel Loureiro and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Pedro Paulo Guedes sped through Curupira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ezequiel Loureiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Miranda in the 27th minute of play forced Curupira's goalkeeper Ezequiel Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curupira's Ezequiel Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Guedes in the 28th minute of play. Gildo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Lúcio Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curupira. Umberto Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino EC's Lúcio Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Ortiz in the 34th minute of play. Emerson Barral struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ezequiel Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paulino EC. When Gildo Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Curupira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gildo Miranda couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes Curupira got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Mangueira.

Lúcio Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Miranda in the 53rd minute of play forced Paulino EC's goalkeeper Lúcio Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes Paulino EC got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Barral. Umberto Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Alves having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paulino EC's zone, Gildo Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Alves came out of the goal and Gildo Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th match minute, Paulino EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Curupira's Ediberto Mangueira tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Flavinho Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Umberto Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paulo Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Pedro Paulo Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulino EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Paulo Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Emílio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Miranda in the 95th minute of the match. Paulino EC's Lúcio Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Ortiz in the 96th minute of play. The Paulino EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
