Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narciso de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Perdoes SC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Leal came free, but Patrício Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Nuness short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Patrício Palmeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patrício Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Patrício Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisinho Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Arósio having to interfere. Geraldo Dante hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Perdoes SC's Patrício Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrício Leal in the 37th minute of play. Ediberto Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Arósio having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ediberto Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Luisinho Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Zé Carlos Nunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flor AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Flor AD's Zé Carlos Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flor AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perdoes SC the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Flor AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Nunes to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Patrício Leal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrício Palmeira was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Patrício Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
