Douglas Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Cássio Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Coelho having to interfere. Frédson Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Arósio in the 12th minute of play. Lajedo's Samuca Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Soares in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Coutinho got free with Frédson Coelho in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Benjamin Soares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Samuca Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lajedo's Samuca Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Hoffmann in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vanique SC's Sílvio Neves got a free kick in the 37th minute. Tião Perez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Samuca Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Hoffmann in the 42nd minute of the match. The Lajedo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vanique SC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Soares made a kick off. If Wilson Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Samuca Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Wilson Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanique SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Lajedo's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Soares came free, but Samuca Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Cássio Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lajedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zézinho Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
