Benjamin Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luizão Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vanique SC's Frédson Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Miranda in the 20th minute of play. Jucuitiba FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Benjamin Soares scored to the left of an out of position Luizão Quadros, making the score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Jucuitiba FC's zone, Benjamin Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Quadros came out of the goal and Benjamin Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Benjamin Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanique SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Luizão Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Benjamin Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanique SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Soares made a kick off. Luizão Quadros came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vanique SC's Wilson Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Wilson Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jucuitiba FC's goalkeeper Luizão Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frédson Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Miranda in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Passos during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
