After some careless play in the Ramalho defense, Caetano dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Paulo Penha. The Ramalho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Paulo Penha should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luís da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Sarmento having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ramalho's zone, Caetano dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Paulo Penha came out of the goal and Caetano dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dário Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ramalho! 30 minutes into the match, Piche FC's Dário Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Pedro Luís da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano dos Santos in the 36th minute. If Amílton Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the game, João Vítor de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piche FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ramalho the free kick. After a rather tough play, Piche FC's João Vítor de Souza got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís da Silveira in the 48th minute of play forced Piche FC's goalkeeper Lenílson Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dário Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Aguiar in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Paulo Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Pedro Luís da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Caetano dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Paulo Penha. Ramalho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 62nd minute, Régis Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes, Piche FC's Tibúrcio Donato shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Penha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piche FC reached it. If Dário Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Paulo Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Aguiar in the 74th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Sérgio Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lenílson Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Paulo Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano dos Santos in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ramalho's zone, Caetano dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Paulo Penha came out of the goal and Caetano dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Paulo Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano dos Santos in the 95th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Dário Aguiar put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Paulo Penha. Ramalho's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
