Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Régis Moura started the match with the kick off. Armando Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Ferreira went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ronaldão Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas Carioca struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Manolo Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carira FC. Humberto Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Armando Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Régis Moura came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Caraiba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Régis Moura couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldão Romero in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolo Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Carira FC defense, Humberto Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Abreu. The Carira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Abreu should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Régis Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Moura in the 37th minute of play forced Carira FC's goalkeeper Armando Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Moraes in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Régis Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Manolo Abraão made a huge save. In the 47th minute, Humberto Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Caraiba AD were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldão Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes of play, Carira FC's Ronaldão Romero made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manolo Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gilberto de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Manolo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Abreu having to interfere. When Caraiba AD's Régis Moura in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Humberto Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Abreu having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Ronaldão Romero made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Caraiba AD's Manolo Abraão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Régis Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
