Cesinha Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Martins having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Ararica got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Couto. Edmílson Martins made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cesinha Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Ararica's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
