Fausto's Zé Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Eirunepe AD's zone, Zé Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Madureira came out of the goal and Zé Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eirunepe AD's Rômulo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Vinhas in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Eirunepe AD's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Velloso came free, but Rômulo Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Eirunepe AD got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Goiano. Zé Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rômulo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Mello having to interfere. In the 25th minute Zé Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Eirunepe AD got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Carioca. The audience was convinced that Jorginho Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo Madureira was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jorginho Vinhas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rômulo Madureira. Rômulo Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Velloso in the 40th minute of the match. If Raphael Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th minute, Raphael Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorginho Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. Cauan Mello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Correia went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 63 minutes, Zé Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fausto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel da Silva in the 64th minute of play forced Fausto's goalkeeper Cauan Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jorginho Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Fausto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Vinhas couldn't finish the play. Daniel da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cauan Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fausto's Marcinho Leme got a free kick in the 75th minute. Raphael Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. When Ademir Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eirunepe AD's protests and gave Ademir Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fausto booed when Eirunepe AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball.
