Carlos Augusto Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Proença in the 3rd minute of the match. Edu Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Apuarema getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Edu Leme hit a great ball. Nestor Hermes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 7 minutes, Edu Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Apuarema and the Jurujuba EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Edu Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Apuarema's Carlos Augusto Jacinto got control of the ball when Toninho Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silas Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Apuarema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silas Albuquerque helped the player get up and apologised. Cléber Ramos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Daniel Schmidt came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Apuarema's Nando Koehler. But to his dismay, Nando Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luís Fernando Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Jacinto having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Toninho Hoffmann fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luís Fernando Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edu Leme hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Carlos Augusto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Apuarema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Luís Fernando Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jurujuba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fernando Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56thth minute of the game Toninho Hoffmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Apuarema's Carlos Augusto Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, Nando Koehler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 65 minutes into the match, Apuarema's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Hoffmann came free, but Carlos Augusto Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Jurujuba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Moreno to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Luís Fernando Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jurujuba EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Apuarema's Humberto Monteiro got a free kick in the 77th minute. 2-3 became the score in the 80th minute when Luís Fernando Proença elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Luís Fernando Proença came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Jurujuba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Proença couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Toninho Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jurujuba EC's Diego Paiva got a free kick in the 89th minute. Cléber Ramos did an outstanding performance 91 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-4 to the right of an irritated Daniel Schmidt in the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apuarema's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Apuarema had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
