The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Albuquerque during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Fernando Proença's late challenge caught a Tabuinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fernando Proença helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Jurujuba EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Proença to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Arlindo da Silva made a huge save. Jurujuba EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Tabuinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Proença came free, but Arlindo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
