After 6 played minutes Quadra SS got a freekick which was hit by Durval Arce. In the 7th minute of the match Sidney Freire shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gernando Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Queirós having to interfere. Gernando Correia struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Osvaldo Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heimtal FC. 23 minutes into the match, Heimtal FC's Gernando Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dorian Fernandes in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giovani da Mata, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leopoldo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Giovani da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leopoldo Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Koehler couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Heimtal FC's zone, Leopoldo Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani da Mata came out of the goal and Leopoldo Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Carlos Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Osvaldo Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovani da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Koehler's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Quadra SS's Leopoldo Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Quadra SS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dênis Valle hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quadra SS's zone, Gernando Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Queirós came out of the goal and Gernando Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Giovani da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Osvaldo Queirós managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Heimtal FC's Carlos Penha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Gernando Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernando Correia's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute Gernando Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Queirós made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
