Laércio Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brasilania SC's Arí Recife got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Arí Recife off the ground. In the 89th minute, Eusébio Batista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iuri Mumbach, passed just outside the right post. The Juliapolis FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brasilania SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Brasilania SC.
