Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Severo kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Sandrinho Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cojubim and the Machacalis SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thiago Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes Machacalis SC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Hermes. Daniel Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Valladares having to interfere. If Evandro Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Hermes during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Machacalis SC's zone, Daniel Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Valladares came out of the goal and Daniel Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Severo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Valladares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Cojubim's goalkeeper Murillo Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juarês Mineiro. Juarês Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Murillo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Antunes in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Daniel Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Jano de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Fábio Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Murillo Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cojubim booed when Machacalis SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Machacalis SC's Juarês Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Antunes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Murillo Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Machacalis SC. Juarês Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murillo Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Fábio Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
