Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Denílson de Queirós started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ipiuna SC's Nilton Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Maciel in the 4th minute of play. Mário de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson de Queirós in the 8th minute of the match. Mário de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gláuber Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gernando Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Britto having to interfere. Gláuber Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nilton Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ipiuna SC's Germano Fontes got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipiuna SC's zone, Gernando Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Britto came out of the goal and Gernando Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gláuber Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ediberto Coutinho during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Querendo AD getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ediberto Coutinho hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gláuber Maciel to make the kick off. Eurico Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play. If Gernando Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Ipiuna SC got a freekick which was hit by Germano Fontes. In the 58th minute, Gláuber Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, Ipiuna SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Ipiuna SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer Pombal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Querendo AD booed when Ipiuna SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gláuber Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nilton Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Gláuber Maciel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nilton Britto. The goal made the score 0-1. With 80 minutes on the clock, Aílton Barros commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ipiuna SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Jerônimo Barbosa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th play minute Gernando Arantes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nilton Britto. 0-3. After 96 minutes, Lenílson Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Querendo AD and the Ipiuna SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Querendo AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Eurico Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário de Azevedo in the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Querendo AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ipiuna SC.
