The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fábio Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Luizinho Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Andrézinho Souza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cristian Santana. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Andrézinho Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Extremos's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Tinoco in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Santana saved Curumatahy FC from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Curumatahy FC's Almir Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Curumatahy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Tinoco came free, but Cristian Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Extremos's Andrézinho Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luizinho Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nico Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Tinoco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Santana having to make a save. Almir Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Nico Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curumatahy FC. The Curumatahy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Extremos were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrézinho Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nico Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Almir Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The referee showed Duarte Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Duarte Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Extremos's Andrézinho Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nico Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Sarmento in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Curumatahy FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Extremos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
