Ricardinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Váldson Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Breozinho AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Mineiro couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Tomé Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Breozinho AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Mineiro in the 32nd minute of play forced Ricardinho's goalkeeper Dinei Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Breozinho AD's zone, Vicente Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Borges came out of the goal and Vicente Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Arthur Borges successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 45 minutes into the match, Breozinho AD's goalkeeper Arthur Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Pereira.

Serginho de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tomé Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Breozinho AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Mineiro in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Ricardinho's Dinei Albuquerque got control of the ball when Tomé Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dinei Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
