Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iuri Ribeiro started the match with the kick off. Décio do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute João Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Jales's Gilberto Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renan de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Renan de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Gilberto Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan de Carvalho having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Jales's goalkeeper Décio do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrézinho Azevedo. If João Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veredinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jales the free kick. Pedrinho Rodrigues hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Faria in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan de Carvalho saved Veredinha from getting behind. Renan de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute, Iuri Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Faria to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jales's zone, Iuri Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio do Vale came out of the goal and Iuri Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Andrézinho Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jales's Décio do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Jales's Washington Cerezo got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Gilberto Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan de Carvalho. Veredinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 63rd minute, Válter de Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Veredinha's Renan de Carvalho didn't even have to move. Veredinha's Renan de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Veredinha from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laerte Dantas during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Veredinha got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Dantas. After recieving a nice pass, Jales's Válter de Carvalho tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Nogueira got free with Renan de Carvalho in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gilberto Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If João Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Varela hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Andrézinho Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jales's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
