The tension between the Luisana and the Jupara SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Luisana getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jorginho Zonta hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Umberto Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Luisana defense, Umberto Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Lira. The Luisana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Lira should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Correia in the 28th minute of play forced Luisana's goalkeeper Bernardo Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Luisana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jorginho Zonta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Augusto Bertassi having to make a save. 78 minutes into the match, Luisana's Dino Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
