Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Amaral started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vassourinha's goalkeeper Dorian Terra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Oswaldo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argolas's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorian Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Beto Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durvalino Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Betão Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Vasconcelos having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Argolas got a freekick which was hit by Abel Arantes. After some careless play in the Argolas defense, Betão Cabral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedê Vasconcelos. The Argolas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedê Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. Dorian Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Paiva in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Beto Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Terra having to interfere. Beto Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dorian Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gugu Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vassourinha's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abel Arantes was slow to take the kick. During this time Argolas's players had a chance to rest. Felippe Monteiro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dorian Terra. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beto Reis to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Amaral in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedê Vasconcelos saved Argolas from getting behind. Argolas's Beto Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Argolas were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Vassourinha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abel Arantes took the corner. After 71 played minutes Argolas got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Paiva. 73 minutes into the game, Beto Reis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorian Terra. Beto Reis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Dorian Terra made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Oswaldo Paiva sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Patrick Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vassourinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argolas the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Vassourinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Marques to maneuver through the defense. Betão Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dedê Vasconcelos having to make a save. Argolas's Dedê Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Cabral in the 87th minute of play. A hard shot by Kléberson de Lara from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Dorian Terra's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Dedê Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Argolas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alan Linares hit a great ball. The Argolas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Argolas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
