When Giovani Magalhães got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Filipe Vinhas was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. João Francisco Mota succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 19th minute, Giovani Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luisiania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luisiania's Evandro Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Pena in the 27th minute of play. Filipe Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Mota went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After having played for 70 minutes, Márcio Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominguinho EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovani Magalhães during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
