Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Bacalhau's Edson Ceresso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Daniel de Godoy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ricardinho Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edson Ceresso in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardinho Cosme saved Macae from getting behind. Daniel de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho Cosme having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Naldo Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macae's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luís Fabiano Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacalhau's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Bacalhau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Macae's Naldo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Oliveira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Naldo Azevedo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Naldo Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Oliveira. That made the score 2-2 in the 39 minute of play.

56 minutes into the game, one of Bacalhau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Macae a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rômulo de Alcântara, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bacalhau's Severino Oliveira. 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel de Godoy got free with Ricardinho Cosme in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Benê Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edson Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Benê Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho Cosme having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Benê Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Oliveira. Bacalhau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.
