In the 5th minute, Marco de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 6 played minutes Tefe AD got a freekick which was hit by Zeca das Neves. Marco de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Alexandre da Cunha stood somewhat misplaced when Dedé Rodrigues came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Souto in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute, Umberto Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tefe AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 28 minutes into the match, Marco de Amaral notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tefe AD's Alexandre da Cunha. Alexandre da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco de Amaral during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Marco de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedé Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Tostão Aguiar's late challenge caught a Tefe AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 minutes, Ernesto Souto made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tipucu's Clemente Freire tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Clemente Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Souto in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Umberto Antunes took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Clemente Freire to make any attempt to save it. Clemente Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alexandre da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Rodrigues in the 79th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, Tefe AD's Rui Prata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemente Freire came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tefe AD reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Antunes in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marco de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedé Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Alexandre da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Tefe AD got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Valadares. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
