Reynaldo Tinoco was a little too slow when Norberto do Vale got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 8th minute, Mathias Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Tinoco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Norberto do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Wiliam Linhares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caratinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Wiliam Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson de Brito having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ubim's Artur Fonseca got a free kick in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Caratinga's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa do Nascimento came free, but Reynaldo Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Norberto do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ubim's Rafa do Nascimento got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Mathias Couto notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Caratinga's Reynaldo Tinoco. Reynaldo Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norberto do Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Quintal's late challenge caught a Ubim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caratinga's Ulisses Quintal got a free kick in the 56th minute. Norberto do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Tinoco having to interfere. Caratinga's Reynaldo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto do Vale in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ulisses Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Caratinga's Wiliam Linhares made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeferson de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Fonseca during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Fonseca hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Joélson Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jeferson de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Norberto do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ubim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto do Vale couldn't finish the play. If Norberto do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa do Nascimento during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Ubim got a freekick which was hit by Rafa do Nascimento. In the 93rd minute of the match Léo de Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson de Brito skillfully saved the ball.
