Benjamin de Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Paulo de Amaral went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute Luís Paulo de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Camboata EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Mota in the 17th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Camboata EC's goalkeeper Benjamin de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Camboata EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo de Amaral came free, but Benjamin de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camboata EC's Dito Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valério Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cordilheiras getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Claudinho Couto hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Cordilheiras's goalkeeper Jarbas Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valério Bueno. After a defensive mix-up in Cordilheiras's zone, Dito Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Leme came out of the goal and Dito Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jarbas Leme made a huge save. In the 43rdth minute of the game Dito Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cordilheiras's Jarbas Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, Dito Tróia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jarbas Leme, passed just outside the right post. After the first half Cordilheiras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Couto hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Dito Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Luís Paulo de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Bueno in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarbas Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Valério Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cordilheiras getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ulisses Guerra hit a great ball. Valério Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Leme having to interfere. Camboata EC's Benjamin de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Mota in the 93rd minute of play. Benjamin de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Luís Paulo de Amaral sent off a good shot on target.
