Thanks to some nice moves Vinícius Mesquita could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Válbson Varela however easily saved by the left post. When Tiaguinho de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candeiras's protests and gave Tiaguinho de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead.
