Wilian Proença was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Laerte Freire capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laerte Freire really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Murillo Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Theresina SS's goalkeeper Wilian Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Theresina SS getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Murillo Zilles hit a great ball. If Fellipe Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Hamílton Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falcão Quaresma hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Romário Paes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adriano Paraense skillfully saved the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Theresina SS's goalkeeper Wilian Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Davi Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Paulista in the 31st minute of play forced Moradas EC's goalkeeper Adriano Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Falcão Quaresma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moradas EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Quaresma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laerte Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Proença having to interfere. Wilian Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Moradas EC's Laerte Freire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilian Proença. Wilian Proença yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laerte Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Freire in the 53rd minute of play forced Theresina SS's goalkeeper Wilian Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murillo Zilles during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Theresina SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Zilles to maneuver through the defense. Wilian Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Quaresma in the 56th minute of play. If Davi Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 64th minute when Fellipe Goiano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Falcão Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Theresina SS's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Quaresma came free, but Wilian Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Falcão Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Moradas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falcão Quaresma couldn't finish the play. Moradas EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
