If Fred Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Guanaces was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match, Giuseppe Matos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cesinha França was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Fred Urbano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís Seco. Monguba SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fred Urbano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Monguba SC's Pedro Luís Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Corrêa in the 30th minute of play. Armandinho Corrêa scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Luís Seco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armandinho Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armandinho Corrêa during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guanaces's Armandinho Corrêa got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Serafim Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Monguba SC fans jumped to their feet. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guanaces walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
