Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Murilo Maia took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Maia in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedê de Almeida saved Teixera AD from getting behind. Elias Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aluísio Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Airituba's zone, Ivo Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aluísio Veiga came out of the goal and Ivo Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, João Carlos Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aluísio Veiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, João Carlos Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teixera AD's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aluísio Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Ivo Brito made the kick off in the second half. Elano Quaresma hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Aluísio Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Airituba's Aluísio Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Brito in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Cabral in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dedê de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Maia in the 78th minute of play. João Carlos Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Aluísio Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teixera AD. Aluísio Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Murilo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
