Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nelson Peres kicked off to start the match. Osasco AD's Paulo Renato Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Renato Guimarães might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Favoretto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Renato Guimarães ran back to his position shaking his head. Wellington Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Guimarães in the 6th minute of the match. Paulo Renato Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Favoretto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Assembleia's Wanderson Gerber got a free kick in the 10th minute. Wellington Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hortêncio Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Assembleia's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Guimarães came free, but Wellington Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Osasco AD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. José Augusto Mello hit a great ball. Luiz Paulo Dante might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Favoretto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Paulo Dante ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 27 minutes, Luiz Paulo Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osasco AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Nunes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match José Augusto Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Favoretto skillfully saved the ball. Hortêncio Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Walmyr Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Assembleia's Róbson Schmidt tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Assembleia booed when Osasco AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbson Schmidt's shot from long distance in the 49th minute was not bad at all, but Osasco AD's Walmyr Veiga knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Renato Guimarães made a kick off. Walmyr Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Diniz in the 57th minute of the match. If Hortêncio Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luiz Paulo Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Augusto Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Assembleia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Nelson Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Goiano's late challenge caught a Assembleia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Goiano helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Paulo Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
