Rogério Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 22 minutes, Rogério Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soledad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walmyr Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gilson Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Walmyr Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Nobre EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Velloso couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, Soledad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Soledad got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Chaves. 38 minutes into the match, José Augusto de Queiroz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Soledad's Gilson Mumbach. Gilson Mumbach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Soledad's Gilson Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto de Queiroz in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute José Augusto de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Mumbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmyr Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugênio da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Figueiredo in the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Rosa in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugênio da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute Víktor Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Víktor Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When José Augusto de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Nobre EC fans jumped to their feet. Gilson Mumbach came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo José Tróia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Walmyr Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Mumbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rogério Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-3 became the score in the 84th minute when Rogério Rosa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rogério Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nobre EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
