An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo de Brito in the 20th minute of play forced Ipuera EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Arce struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Fabrício Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeche FC. In the 24th minute of the match Edmílson Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrício Senna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 26 minutes, Pedro Luís do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipuera EC and the Campeche FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabrício Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Arce in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléber Arce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 86th minute Rafa Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
