Though ot was a great shot Matoes SC's keeper Oscar Loyola was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Elder Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matoes SC's goalkeeper Oscar Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Jaguaraci EC got a freekick which was hit by Dário Mesquita. Jaguaraci EC's Dráuzio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Massa in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Elder Massa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráuzio Leal. Jaguaraci EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elder Massa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Elder Massa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. José Pedro Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jaguaraci EC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rubens Tande hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Giovanni Paranaense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Elder Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Bruno Nunes made the kick off in the second half. Oscar Loyola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Nunes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Elder Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elder Massa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Matoes SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Massa couldn't finish the play. If Christiano Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christiano Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Matoes SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano Abraão couldn't finish the play. José Pedro Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro Hames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Oscar Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Leal having to interfere. With his leg Dráuzio Leal managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Matoes SC's Elder Massa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Nunes in the 94th minute of play forced Matoes SC's goalkeeper Oscar Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jaguaraci EC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dário Mesquita hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 98th minute, when Matoes SC's Giovanni Paranaense after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Dráuzio Leal in Jaguaraci EC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Matoes SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
