Giovani Sena spun around in front of the goal 2 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Parnaiba EC's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas da Mata in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredo Souto struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Joel Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parnaiba EC. If Giovani Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pedro Paulo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raí da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Sena in the 20th minute of play. João Paulo Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Paulo Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Paulo Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Oséas Félix sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raí da Costa skillfully saved the ball. When Parnaiba EC's Jonas da Mata in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baiazinha FC's goalie prevented a goal. Parnaiba EC's Raí da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Sena in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Parnaiba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Faustino came free, but Raí da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Raí da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Baiazinha FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Baiazinha FC's Pedro Paulo Faustino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Giovani Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Raí da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Parnaiba EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baiazinha FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Giovani Sena made the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Parnaiba EC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Leal. Raí da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giovani Sena's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Pedro Paulo Faustino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Raí da Costa, passed just outside the right post. Clemente Marinho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Giovani Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí da Costa having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Faustino scored 0-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raí da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Parnaiba EC's Alfredo Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Vergílio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Parnaiba EC's Raí da Costa got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Faustino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giovani Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raí da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Giovani Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parnaiba EC's Raí da Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Baiazinha FC's zone, Alfredo Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Vergílio came out of the goal and Alfredo Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conrado Neves, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Raí da Costa made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Pedro Paulo Faustino sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Baiazinha FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
