In the 4th match minute, Lucrecia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Donato to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes of play, Atlantica's Luís Gustavo Chaves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dudu Mazza's late challenge caught a Lucrecia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dudu Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. Dudu Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Alexandre Pontes shot from long distance in the 14th minute, but Cléberson Teixeira was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Atlantica's Cléberson Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Prado in the 17th minute of play. Eugênio Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo Chaves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Jacinto was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 21 played minutes Atlantica got a freekick which was hit by Didi da Cunha. Clemente Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Chaves's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlantica's zone, Adelino Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson Teixeira came out of the goal and Adelino Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eugênio Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Eugênio Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clemente Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Lucrecia got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Fonseca. With an all-out effort, Atlantica's Clemente Jacinto threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Gustavo Chaves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Cunha during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maurinho Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Clemente Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valério Fernandez lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lucrecia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Atlantica a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dudu Mazza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lucrecia's Clemente Jacinto. 1-2. Adelino Baptista took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cléberson Teixeira. Cléberson Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Alexandre Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lucrecia's protests and gave Alexandre Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes, Atlantica's Dudu Mazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Clemente Jacinto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlantica reached it. After 93 played minutes Lucrecia got a freekick which was hit by Luís Donato. Richard Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Cléberson Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Atlantica players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lucrecia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
