Eriberto Barral came out and tried to block the shot, but Douglas Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Orlando Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rony Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Caras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Pombal to maneuver through the defense. Caras's Luís Fernando Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Bastos in the 30th minute of play. Rony Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fernando Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Douglas Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Barral. Estiva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Douglas Gerber made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Estiva's Eriberto Barral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Bastos in the 63rd minute of play forced Caras's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Estiva getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sílvio Meirelles hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Orlando Mumbach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, Estiva's Luiz Alagoano got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of Estiva booed when Caras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Estiva's Flavinho Gerber broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Caras's Luís Fernando Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Bastos in the 93rd minute of play. Caras were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Estiva for a fine match.
