Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldinho Leal started the match with the kick off. Ronaldo Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Estiva's Eriberto Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Leal in the 5th minute of play. When André Luiz Chaves fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malacacheta's protests and gave André Luiz Chaves a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Malacacheta got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Chaves. Rony Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ronaldo Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavinho Gerber was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Virgílio de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Silveira came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Estiva's Virgílio de Toledo. But to his dismay, Virgílio de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Virgílio de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Silveira having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Malacacheta's Ronaldinho Leal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Barral. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. The supporters of Malacacheta booed when Estiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Leal in the 38th minute. In the 40th of the match, Ronaldinho Leal tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Eriberto Barral got in the way and made a wonderful save. Virgílio de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When André Luiz Chaves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. André Luiz Chaves hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alessandro Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eriberto Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Luiz Fábio de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malacacheta's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fábio de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgílio de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 65th match minute, Malacacheta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rony Bastos during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rony Bastos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Luiz Fábio de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Eriberto Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malacacheta. In the 89th minute, Virgílio de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 minutes, Nilton Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malacacheta and the Estiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nilton Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Virgílio de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Natã Proença fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malacacheta's protests and gave Natã Proença a yellow card for diving instead. Natã Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
