A collision led to Oeiras FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cauã da Cunha hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luís Tróia sped through Xonim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Zonta. Mauro Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Oeiras FC's Humberto Zilles got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes, Hamílton Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xonim and the Oeiras FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Hamílton Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Xonim got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Vides. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, José Carlos Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xonim's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luís Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Oeiras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Tróia couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Xonim's zone, Luís Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Zonta came out of the goal and Luís Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kiko da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kiko da Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Trancoso in the 53rd minute of play forced Oeiras FC's goalkeeper Romeu da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu da Rocha came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xonim's José Carlos Trancoso. But to his dismay, José Carlos Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gláuber Trancoso hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Romeu da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Trancoso in the 62nd minute of the match. When Kiko da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Oeiras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko da Cunha couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute of the match Raúl Teixeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clemente Zonta skillfully saved the ball. Clemente Zonta was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Kiko da Cunha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kiko da Cunha really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Kiko da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamílton Leme hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Cássio da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xonim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oeiras FC the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Xonim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 85thth minute of the game Kiko da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xonim's Clemente Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Carlos Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Romeu da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Oeiras FC booed when Xonim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Xonim's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko da Cunha came free, but Clemente Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Oeiras FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
