Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilson Pimenta started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Geolandia EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Célio Félix fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Paraíba during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Jacaqua booed when Geolandia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Célio Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Jacaqua booed when Geolandia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Geolandia EC got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Paraíba. If Célio Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 16 played minutes Geolandia EC got a freekick which was hit by Durval Amorim. Chico Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Félix in the 18th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Célio Félix kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chico Alagoano. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Durval Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geolandia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacaqua the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Geolandia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Rezende was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Célio Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Alagoano having to interfere. Manuel Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Jacaqua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. If Dionísio Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Pimenta in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Dionísio Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ricardo Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Manuel Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Jacaqua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Fernandez couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Célio Félix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Geolandia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar Quintal came free, but Chico Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionísio Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ricardo Mineiro made a huge save. Dionísio Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ricardo Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Jacaqua's Ricardo Mineiro got control of the ball when Dionísio Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionísio Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionísio Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Geolandia EC's Wilson Pimenta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Mineiro. That made the score 1-2 after 85 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Félix in the 92nd minute of play forced Geolandia EC's goalkeeper Chico Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Geolandia EC's zone, Célio Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Alagoano came out of the goal and Célio Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Geolandia EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
