Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Celso Gaspar made the kick off and thus started the match. 19 minutes into the game, Ernesto Esteves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Thiago Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 played minutes Potengi got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Favoretto. Christian Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Thiago Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Christian Velloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Mandrak. Christian Velloso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 30 played minutes Potengi got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Monteiro. 33 minutes into the game, Celso Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaiuba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potengi the free kick. Celso Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Fausto Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cido Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Fausto Valadares notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Potengi's Cido Pinheiro. Cido Pinheiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Potengi defense, Celso Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cido Pinheiro. The Potengi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tarcisio Leme hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Cipriano Silva in the 61st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Thiago Mandrak's left hand side. Fausto Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cido Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77th play minutes Fausto Valadares shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Cido Pinheiro and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 81st minute, Ernesto Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Mandrak was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After having played for 89 minutes, Christian Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potengi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Potengi's goalkeeper Cido Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
