Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudinei da Costa started the match with the kick off. If Luís Fabiano Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiago Mota in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sílvio do Valle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiago Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio do Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Cervinho's Tiago Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Marcus Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cervinho getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Kléber Leme hit a great ball. In the 23rd match minute, Sanganha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Marcus Schmidt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sílvio do Valle. The goal made the score 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sanganha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Lucas Medeiros's late challenge caught a Cervinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Medeiros hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Marcus Schmidt got in the 41st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sílvio do Valle handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Marcus Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio do Valle having to interfere. If Marcus Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Schmidt to make the kick off. Luís Fabiano Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Perez having to interfere. Geovânio Perez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinei da Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. Luís Fabiano Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sanganha booed when Cervinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fabiano Oliveira got free with Geovânio Perez in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovânio Perez stood somewhat misplaced when Luís Fabiano Oliveira came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 64 minute. After 69 played minutes Sanganha got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Britto. The audience was convinced that Tiago Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio do Valle was relentless in the 75th minute of the game.
