Aviario's Giovani Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Porto in the 29th minute of play. Aviario's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luiziania EC the free kick. Luiziania EC's Abelardo Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leandro Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 93rd minute, Abelardo Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovani Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Porto in the 96th minute of play. The Luiziania EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
