Bocaine SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Bocaine SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Falcão Sabóia hit a great ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Targinos's goalkeeper Aníbal Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Walmyr Mello took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Aníbal Pontes to make any attempt to save it. Diego Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The long shot by Duarte Mesquita in the 22nd minute really tested Aníbal Pontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 26th minute, Luisinho Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 minutes, Walmyr Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bocaine SC and the Targinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walmyr Mello hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Targinos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Walmyr Mello scored to the left of an out of position Aníbal Pontes, making the score, 2-1. After 35 played minutes Targinos got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Monteiro. Valdir Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Pontes having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Targinos's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Mello came free, but Aníbal Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Pontes having to interfere.

The wind increased when Walmyr Mello made the kick off in the second half. Nico Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Targinos's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Mello came free, but Aníbal Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Pontes having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Walmyr Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aníbal Pontes was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Walmyr Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Targinos got a freekick which was hit by Remo Alves. 62 minutes into the game, Walmyr Mello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Aníbal Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdir Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Aníbal Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Walmyr Mello sped through Targinos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aníbal Pontes. Aníbal Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bocaine SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
