Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Patrick Santos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Elias Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Santos in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Cardoso in the 27th minute of play forced Itamogi's goalkeeper Elias Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Itamogi booed when Pranchita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Patrick Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pranchita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Itamogi's zone, Dênis Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Seco came out of the goal and Dênis Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the game, Eusébio Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itamogi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pranchita the free kick. After 46 played minutes Itamogi got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Arósio.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márcio Marquez was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Márcio Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dito Duarte was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Silvinho de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Enio de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pranchita's protests and gave Enio de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Pranchita got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Luz. In the 71st minute of the match Vânderson Guedes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dito Duarte skillfully saved the ball. In the 73rd minute Márcio Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes, Márcio Marquez made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pranchita's Dito Duarte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dito Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
