After a defensive mix-up in Dulcinopolis's zone, Vânderson Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Gonçalves came out of the goal and Vânderson Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Dulcinopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Brasil came free, but Tales Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Frank Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dulcinopolis's Tales Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tasso in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Armandinho Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dulcinopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Válter Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Moraes having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Frank Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

After a defensive mix-up in Aracatiara SC's zone, Armandinho Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Moraes came out of the goal and Armandinho Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vânderson Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tales Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Moraes made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Armandinho Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Aracatiara SC's Luís Eduardo Teixeira got a free kick in the 59th minute. Tales Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Brasil in the 64th minute of play. Tales Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Orlando Braga's late challenge caught a Aracatiara SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Braga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Aracatiara SC booed when Dulcinopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Vânderson Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
